Key Features and Benefits of This USB Outlet

Dual USB Type-C Power Delivery ports negotiate voltage and current automatically, charging phones, tablets, and laptops faster than standard USB-A outlets. Built-in tamper-resistant shutters add child safety to the two 20-amp AC receptacles. The magnesium finish and screwless Adorne plate design give the outlet a modern, low-profile appearance.

Where to Use the ARTRUSB20PD65M4 Outlet

This outlet suits kitchens, home offices, bedrooms, and living areas where residents charge laptops and mobile devices at the wall. It is intended for standard indoor dry locations, not wet or outdoor applications. It requires a compatible Adorne wall plate, sold separately, to complete the installation.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

Installation requires a compatible Adorne wall plate and should be performed by a licensed electrician on a properly grounded 20-amp circuit. Confirm the electrical box depth accommodates the device before beginning work. Verify device chargers support USB Power Delivery to draw the full 65-watt output from each port.

Additional Buying Context

This outlet is a practical retrofit for upgrading older receptacles in homes that need faster device charging without adding a separate charging station. Legrand backs the Adorne collection with a manufacturer warranty. Buyers should budget for the matching Adorne wall plate and any additional collection accessories separately.
