Key Features and Benefits of This Outdoor Post Top Lantern

The hand-blown clear water glass diffuses light while adding vintage character, so pathways feel welcoming rather than harshly lit. A medium-base socket accepts a wide range of replacement bulbs, which matters because it keeps future relamping simple and affordable. The textured white finish coordinates with light-colored exteriors and holds up outdoors thanks to its damp/wet rating.

Where to Use the 7855-13 Post Top Lantern

This lantern is rated for damp and wet outdoor locations, making it a fit for post-mounted lighting along driveways, front walkways, and garden paths. Its traditional cast styling suits colonial or classic exterior designs. It is not designed as an interior fixture.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

The 7855-13 mounts atop a compatible outdoor post, sold separately, and uses a single medium-base (E26) bulb, which is not included, so confirm bulb wattage does not exceed the 100W fixture rating. Its damp/wet location rating allows installation in exposed outdoor settings, provided a compatible post base is used.

Additional Buying Context

Because the fixture ships without a bulb, pair it with an appropriately rated LED or incandescent replacement to control long-term energy use. Its damp/wet location rating gives buyers confidence it can handle direct outdoor exposure such as rain and humidity, an important factor when choosing entryway or driveway lighting.
