Key Features and Benefits of This Wall Sconce

The single 60 watt rated medium base socket keeps the fixture compact and energy efficient for accent lighting. Clear cylindrical glass lets the bulb's full output through for a brighter accent than frosted shades, and the antique brass finish suits a range of contemporary and transitional decor.

Where to Use the 16171-01 Wall Sconce

This sconce is rated for damp locations, so it works well in bathrooms, hallways, or covered porches with normal moisture exposure. Its slim 4.25 inch width suits narrow wall spaces beside mirrors or doorways. It is not rated for direct wet exposure or fully exposed outdoor spots.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

The sconce mounts to a standard wall electrical box and takes one medium base bulb rated up to 60 watts, compatible with common LED or incandescent replacements. Confirm the wall box location suits the 11.75 inch fixture height and that the circuit matches the fixture's wattage rating.

Additional Buying Context

Livex Lighting lists a damp location rating for the Ludlow sconce and provides an installation sheet with purchase. Because it takes a single replaceable bulb, owners can pair it with a dimmable LED to adjust brightness for use as accent lighting in hallways or bathrooms.
