Livex Lighting

Key Features and Benefits of This Wall Sconce

Two 60-watt candelabra sockets give this sconce flexible brightness depending on the bulbs you choose, while the antique brass finish and transitional styling suit both traditional and updated interiors. Its damp-location rating means it can also handle covered porches or enclosed sunrooms where an indoor-only fixture would not be appropriate.

Where to Use the 42682-01 Wall Sconce

This sconce works well flanking a vanity mirror, bracketing a dining room buffet, or lighting a hallway or bedroom wall. Because it carries a damp rather than wet rating, keep it under cover and away from direct spray if mounted outdoors, such as on a covered porch or entryway.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

Before installing, confirm your electrical box supports the 14-inch by 17.25-inch footprint and that wiring is rated for two 60-watt candelabra bulbs. Bulbs are sold separately, so check base type and wattage limits against the fixture before purchase. Have a licensed electrician verify the circuit and mounting hardware fit your wall.

Additional Buying Context

The 42682-01 is a straightforward retrofit for anyone replacing a dated wall fixture with a transitional antique brass look. Livex includes an installation sheet with the fixture, and pairing it with warm candelabra bulbs helps it read consistently with other Estate collection pieces in dining rooms or bathrooms.
