Key Features and Benefits of This Cord Set

Full tinned wire resists corrosion better than bare copper, helping the cord hold up over years of use inside fixtures that see heat cycling. The 8-foot length gives installers enough slack to reach an outlet without an extension, and cULus certification confirms it meets recognized safety standards.

Where to Use the 90-2044 Cord Set

This cord set suits rewiring older lamps, pendant fixtures, and light fixtures where the original cord has become brittle or damaged. It is intended for lighting and fixture applications rather than heavy-duty appliance cords, so match it to the fixture's rated wattage before use.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

Confirm the cord's wire gauge and connector ends match your fixture's wiring compartment before starting a rewire, and always disconnect power at the source first. This is a component-level electrical repair, so an electrician should handle it if you are unsure about proper connections.

Additional Buying Context

The black finish pairs well with black or dark-finished fixtures where cord visibility matters, such as exposed pendant cords. As a cULus-certified replacement part, it is a practical option for maintenance and repair work rather than new fixture manufacturing.
