Key Features and Benefits of This Downrod

A 36 inch length lowers fixtures for proper clearance under high or vaulted ceilings, which matters because ceiling fans need adequate blade to floor distance for safe, efficient airflow. Steel construction with a 1 inch outer diameter supports fixture weight securely, preventing wobble over time.

Where to Use the 360003DBK Downrod

Suited for rooms with 12 foot ceilings where a standard mount would leave a fixture too high, such as living rooms or bedrooms with elevated ceilings. Works with compatible Kichler fan or light models needing a matching finish, since coordinated hardware keeps the overall look consistent.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

The dual threaded design allows connection to compatible Kichler ceiling fans or fixtures, though buyers should confirm downrod compatibility with their specific fan model before purchase. The 1 inch outer diameter must match the fan's downrod coupling, so verify sizing to avoid a mounting mismatch.

Additional Buying Context

The Distressed Black finish is meant to coordinate with matching Kichler fixtures in the same finish family, useful for buyers replacing or extending an existing fan installation. Confirm the finish matches your current or planned fixture before ordering, since downrods are typically sold separately from the fan.
