Key Features and Benefits of This Slide-to-Off Dimmer

A single slider sets brightness and turns the light off, so there is no separate switch to operate. The 1000-watt rating leaves room to dim several incandescent or halogen lamps on one circuit, which helps in multi-lamp fixtures and chandeliers.

Where to Use the S-1000-LA-CSA Slide-to-Off Dimmer

This dimmer suits dining rooms, living rooms, and bedrooms where adjustable brightness helps set the mood for different activities. It is intended for incandescent and halogen loads. LED, CFL, and fluorescent lamps are not part of the verified rating, so choose a different dimmer if you plan to use them.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

Confirm that the circuit is single-pole, meaning one switch controls the light from one location. It is not meant for three-way setups. Check that your supply is 120V and that the connected lamps are incandescent or halogen. It mounts in a standard wall box as a wall-mounted device.

Additional Buying Context

Retailer data lists this Skylark series as UL and CSA listed, which matters for Canadian installations. Warranty terms are not shown on the Lumenco page, so review the manufacturer warranty link before purchase. Matching wallplates are sold separately.
