Outdoor Lights

Key Features and Benefits of This Outdoor Lantern

The clear water glass shade lets light spread softly while the matte black finish resists showing weather residue between cleanings. Dimmable compatibility allows the fixture to be paired with a compatible dimmer switch for adjustable porch or entryway lighting, and the transitional style suits a range of home exteriors.

Where to Use the UMA1908MBK Outdoor Lantern

This lantern is built for damp locations such as covered porches, entryways, and overhangs. It is not rated for direct wet exposure, so avoid mounting it where it will face driving rain or standing water, and confirm local code requirements before installing near a door or walkway.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

This fixture requires a separately purchased 100 watt incandescent bulb, so confirm bulb type and base fit before installation. If dimming is desired, pair it with a compatible dimmer switch rated for incandescent loads. Have an electrician confirm the junction box and wall mounting hardware suit an exterior application.

Additional Buying Context

The Uma collection offers coordinating indoor and outdoor fixtures, making the UMA1908MBK a fit for buyers matching an exterior lighting scheme. Quoizel backs it with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Since the bulb is sold separately, budget for a compatible incandescent or LED replacement bulb at checkout.
