Semi-Flush Mounts

Key Features and Benefits of This Semi-Flush Mount

The mercury glass panels diffuse light softly while adding a reflective, upscale look without a fully exposed bulb. A matte black finish suits most transitional or modern decor schemes. Rated at 240 watts across four E12-base bulbs, it delivers ample ambient light, and ETL (Electrical Testing Laboratories) listing confirms it meets recognized North American safety standards.

Where to Use the QSF5600MBK Semi-Flush Mount

This fixture works well in entryways, hallways, living rooms, and bathrooms where flush-to-ceiling clearance is needed. Its dry location rating means it should stay indoors, away from showers or exterior areas exposed to moisture. The 18.25-inch width suits medium to larger ceiling areas rather than tight hallways.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

The QSF5600MBK mounts directly to a standard ceiling electrical box and requires 120-volt household wiring. Bulbs are not included, so confirm four E12-base candelabra bulbs rated up to 60 watts each are on hand before installation. Check ceiling clearance against the 14-inch fixture height before ordering.

Additional Buying Context

Backed by ETL listing for recognized safety compliance, the Bankston series suits shoppers replacing dated flush mounts with a more sculptural, glass-paneled design. Since bulbs are sold separately, budget for E12 candelabra bulbs matching the fixture's warm ambient character when planning the purchase.
