Eiko L36WED28-GC-850-U-EX39 36W ED28 LED Filament Bulb
Key Features and Benefits of This LED Retrofit Bulb
Ballast bypass wiring removes a common source of maintenance calls from the circuit in post top and bollard fixtures. Built-in 4kV surge protection helps the lamp withstand voltage spikes common on outdoor and industrial circuits. Instant start means no warm up delay after switching on.
Where to Use the L36WED28-GC-850-U-EX39 Retrofit Bulb
This lamp suits open or enclosed post top, low bay, bollard, and high bay fixtures where lamp aesthetics still matter, since it keeps a familiar filament look. It is designed as a direct HID (high intensity discharge) replacement, so confirm the existing fixture matches these applications before ordering.
Installation and Compatibility Checks
Installation requires bypassing the existing ballast, since this lamp runs directly on line voltage in a universal mounting position. It uses an EX39 mogul base and delivers a 5000K color temperature. Confirm the fixture socket and wiring accept ballast bypass before installing.
Additional Buying Context
Because this lamp replaces up to 175W metal halide or 150W high pressure sodium lamps, it is a straightforward retrofit for facilities looking to reduce energy use without replacing the entire fixture. It also produces less heat than the HID lamps it replaces, which can ease fixture wear over time.
