Post Lights

Key Features and Benefits of This Outdoor Post Top Lantern

The stainless steel mesh interior diffuses light from the single 100-watt bulb while adding a modern texture not found on plain glass lanterns. Its black finish resists fading better than lighter powder-coat colors exposed to sun and weather. The 19-inch height gives strong visibility at ground level.

Where to Use the 20763-04 Post Top Lantern

This post lantern suits driveway entrances, front walkways, and yard posts where a damp/wet-rated fixture is needed for exterior mounting. It is not intended as a submersible or direct-spray fixture despite its wet-location rating. Pair it with a matching post for a coordinated entrance look.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

The fixture takes one medium-base bulb rated up to 100 watts, allowing standard LED replacements. Confirm compatibility with your existing outdoor post, since this lantern is sold separately from any post or mounting pole. No integrated smart controls are included, so external photocells or timers must be added separately.

Additional Buying Context

Livex Lighting provides installation documentation with the Franklin lantern, and its damp/wet-location rating supports reliable outdoor use through Canadian winters. It is a good option for homeowners upgrading a plain post light with a more distinctive, contemporary mesh-and-glass design.
