Key Features and Benefits of This Linear Chandelier

The linear, six-light arrangement in matte black suits long tables and islands better than a single round fixture. Included downrods (eight 12" and two 6") allow height adjustment across different ceiling heights without extra hardware purchases. Dimming compatibility lets homeowners tune brightness for dining versus ambient use.

Where to Use the 1-9601-6-89 Longfellow Chandelier

This chandelier suits dining rooms, kitchen islands, and entryways in dry indoor settings. Its 42" linear span fits well over rectangular tables and islands rather than smaller round spaces. It carries a dry location rating, so it is not intended for bathrooms, covered exteriors, or other damp areas.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

Confirm the ceiling junction box can support the fixture's weight and that the box location aligns with the intended hanging point over a table or island. Bulbs are not included, so candelabra (E12) base lamps must be purchased separately. Verify any dimmer switch is compatible with the bulb type selected before installation.

Additional Buying Context

This chandelier suits both new dining room builds and updates replacing dated fixtures, with included downrods covering a range of ceiling heights. Because bulbs are sold separately, buyers should budget for compatible candelabra-base lamps. Confirm manufacturer warranty terms with Savoy House, as this listing does not specify a warranty period.
