Satco 79-466 White 4 Gauge Chain

White 4 Gauge Fixture Chain by Satco

The 79-466 from Satco is a white 4 gauge chain designed for suspending decorative lighting fixtures. It is suitable for chandeliers and pendants that hang from a ceiling. Key features include 1/4-inch thick links, a white finish, and a listed maximum load of 50 pounds.

Key Features and Benefits of This Fixture Chain

The 4 gauge size is a heavy link, which gives more strength than lighter chain when a fixture has real weight. The white finish blends with white ceilings and many painted canopies, so the chain draws less attention. Links measure 1-3/4 inches long and 1-1/8 inches wide, which helps when planning hang height.

Where to Use the 79-466 Fixture Chain

This chain suits chandeliers, large pendants, and similar decorative fixtures. A retailer listing describes it for heavy pendants and commercial installations. An indoor or outdoor rating is not stated, so confirm with the supplier before using it in a damp or exterior location.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

Make sure the fixture weight, including shades and bulbs, stays under the 50 pound maximum load, with a safety margin. Verify that your hanging hardware accepts links 1-1/8 inches wide. The chain is listed in 1 yard lengths, so calculate how many yards your ceiling height requires.

Additional Buying Context

This is a mechanical accessory with no electrical function, so it is bought alongside the fixture and does not replace any wiring. Only a white finish is listed here. If your canopy and hardware are another color, compare finishes before ordering.
