Satco 80-1466 White Step on Button On and Off Push Switch

Foot-Operated Lamp Switch by Satco

The 80-1466 from Satco is a white step-on push switch designed for turning a lamp on and off with the foot. It is suitable for floor lamps and accessibility-friendly lighting setups. Key features include a 2A at 125V rating and cRUus recognition, with terminal connections and no pre-attached wire.

Key Features and Benefits of This Step-On Push Switch

The step button lets users switch a lamp without reaching for the socket or cord, which helps with floor lamps and for anyone with limited mobility. The switch is compact at about 1.25 inches wide by 2 inches high, and the white finish suits light-coloured lamp cords.

Where to Use the 80-1466 Step-On Push Switch

This switch suits floor lamps, workshop lamps, and custom lamp builds where a foot-operated control is more convenient than a socket switch. It is a lamp wiring component, not a wall switch, so it is not a replacement for a standard building light switch.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

Ratings are 2A at 125V, 1A at 125V, and 1A at 250V, so confirm your lamp load stays within the matching rating. The terminals have no pre-attached wire. Installation should be done by a qualified electrician or lighting professional. Mounting details are not specified, so confirm fit before buying.

Additional Buying Context

The switch is a cRUus recognized component, which means it is intended for use inside a finished product such as a lamp. Warranty terms are not stated on the product page, so review the manufacturer warranty link and the linked specification sheet before ordering.
