Key Features and Benefits of This Extension Stem

The 12-inch length allows a pendant to hang at the right height over furniture below, which matters because ceiling height and stock stem length rarely line up perfectly. Its Black finish keeps hardware visually unified with matte black fixture designs.

Where to Use the STR05012BK-HG Extension Stem

This stem suits indoor pendant installations over islands, tables, or entry spaces where additional drop is needed. It functions only as an accessory to a compatible Maxim pendant fixture, not as a standalone light.

Installation and Compatibility Checks

Confirm the 0.5-inch stem diameter matches your specific Maxim pendant model, since fixture stems vary in width across product lines and are not interchangeable. Check the canopy and stem coupling before ordering.

Additional Buying Context

Buying the correct extension stem upfront lets one pendant fixture adapt to different ceiling heights without a full replacement. It is also available in Kentucky Bronze and Satin Nickel to match other Maxim finishes.
