How the Bi-Level Microwave Motion Sensor Works

The 65-1701 uses a microwave motion sensor, not PIR. Microwave sensors emit low-level pulses to detect movement reliably in warehouses, stairwells, and service corridors where body heat detection fails. When motion is detected, the fixture runs at full output up to 6,750 lumens. When the space empties, it steps down to a standby dim level before switching off completely, saving more energy than a standard on/off occupancy switch and reducing the cycling that shortens fixture life in high-traffic commercial spaces.

Direct-Wire Bypass No Ballast, No Compatibility Issues

This fixture connects directly to line voltage (120V–277V) with no ballast in the circuit. When replacing an existing 4ft LED linear strip light, remove the old ballast entirely and wire the 65-1701 straight to the electrical feed. Fewer components, no ballast-related efficiency losses, and a 50,000-hour rated lifespan with nothing external to maintain.

Selectable Wattage and Colour Temperature: One SKU, Multiple Applications

Set both wattage and colour temperature directly on the fixture before installation; no tools needed, just a switch inside the housing.

• Wattage: 30W for corridors and utility rooms, 40W for general commercial spaces, 50W for warehouses and high-rack storage where you need the full 6,750 lumens overhead.
• Colour temperature: 3500K for a neutral white in staff areas, 4000K for standard commercial interiors, 5000K for loading docks and stairwells where visibility and contrast are critical.
